Weeding, Beds and Borders.
The backbone of our business. Simple weeding and general tidying of your borders can make a significant difference to your garden, with instant visual improvement.
Mulching is often utilised as a weed suppressant and moisture retainer and in addition can enhance the appearance of beds and borders. Topsoil can be improved and added to enhance soil quality and drainage.
Weeding is also undertaken to ‘hard’ areas of the garden such as paths, patios and drives.
Edging to borders and beds can also be undertaken to provide a distinct separation of planting and grassed areas.
Watering.
If the you are on holiday or otherwise engaged we can visit your premises and regularly water your beds, borders and grassed areas whilst you are away!
Alternatively we can discuss with you your requirements and install an irrigation system to provide essential water supplies during the hot summer months.
Grass cutting & treatment.
During the growing season it is staggering how quickly grass can grow! We can provide a grass cutting and treatment service tailored to suit your own requirements using either your own mower or our own petrol driven mower. For the larger garden we also have ride-on mowers available.
We can also undertake lawn aeration, lawn feeding, moss control and thatch reduction.
Strimming.
Using our range of Stihl petrol driven machinery we can clear any overgown or neglected areas where normal mowing is impossible. It is amazing how much space can be created in the garden when such areas are exposed after strimming.
Our equipment can also remove small trees and ‘woody’ vegetation where necessary.
Tree cutting, felling and general chainsaw work
We are skilled in chainsaw work and can remove small trees in the garden subject to location and any planning restraints (e.g tree preservation orders). In addition we can ‘shape’ the smaller specimen tree as well as remove branches and general limbing to encouage future growth and to allow light to penetrate the tree canopy to any plants below.
Hedge cutting.
As a general rule, hedges will need cutting twice every year. This is essential to maintain shape and to encourage strong, bushy growth. Neglected hedges reveal themselves as spindly with very poor thin growth and can take a considerable time to recover, if at all.
We have the full compliment of petrol powered hedge cutting equipment to enable easy and regular cutting of your hedges throughout the year.
Leaf clearance.
Autumn is a wonderful time of year …. but fallen leaves can be a major headache! Apart from looking untidy leaves left on grass can eventually kill the lawn, leaves can cause blockages in gutters and drains, and in some cases fallen leaves can be brought into the house by wind or pedestrian traffic.
We have powerful leaf blowers which will gather the leaves into a central collecting area, ready for our diposal and removal from your premises.
We can also undertake all gutter and drain clearing works necessary due to fallen leaves.
General clearance.
All debris and arisings resulting from our works detailed above can be removed by us, saving you the problem of disposal. In the case of trees or branches you may wish to retain these for heating fuel in which case we will be happy to cut these into manageable sizes to suit your requirements.
In addition, we also undertake general clearance works to remove all your unwanted trees, weeds and vegetation, as well as rubbish, soil or rubble. Indeed, we will remove anything you require – within reason!
General maintenance.
A regular maintenance regime can be introduced to your suit your requirements. Such works will involve general weeding, edging, mulching and grass cutting, but can be expanded to include nay other requirements that you may have. The number of visits and time spent is entirely up to you – there is no set minimum time allowance.
Planting and design.
We can advise on new planting schemes that you may wish to introduce or amend your existing layouts. We can obtain and install plants and trees of your choice or plant only items purchased by you.
We can also supply and install weed supressing membranes and all plant and tree support items.
Other things we do.
We can undertake any preservation work required to timber sheds, fencing or decking.
We can perform pressure washing to timber decking, drives or patios.
